The Jewish calendar is full of beautiful Festivals, full of meaning. If you have an ADHD child, the Festival of Purim can be a nightmare. When Purim is over, does your home feel like a hurricane has just passed, leaving destruction in it’s wake? Does the excitement turn your ADHD child upside down? Does it take you weeks to get yourself, your ADHD child and your house back in some semblance of order? Are you fed up of the mess and the guilt? For your information, Pesach follows right after Purim! You don’t have the luxury of picking up the pieces. There is another more focused way to live.
There are three challenges with Purim:
1. Managing your Purim
2. Managing your child’s Purim
3. Managing the aftermath of Purim
Does Purim fill you with dread?
The late Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, Chief Rabbi of the UK used to say, “Wisdom is free, yet it is the most expensive commodity in the world. “I have searched long and hard to find the tools to help me manage my ADHD. This has been a most difficult and painful journey. I didn’t give up until I found those answers. I have found those tools. I now share them with you.
Do you find yourself pulled in so many different directions? Are you totally worn out after Purim, year after year? If you have answered “yes” to at least one question, it is time to re-evaluate your life. There is another easy, calm, confident and focused way to live your life.
